The 68,000 square foot Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum is the nations largest Latino cultural institution and the only Latino museum accredited by the American Association of Museums. It is also a significant center on the Near-west side of Chicago.

Over 100,000 people have visited the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum, which is open Tuesday through Saturday From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In addition, staff works in the Museum during regular business hours. The Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum is open every day of the year, except for Martin Luther King, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

The Museum has extensive collections of modern and traditional Latin art, which creates an awareness of environmental values. Specimens comprise its collections, and its library has over 250,000 volumes. These resources support world-class research and scholarship activities.
